Podcast Conversation on Positive Parenting and Family Life
15th October 2025
in October, I had the pleasure of recording a podcast with a family lawyer and mediator, Sarah-Jane Tasteyre, diving into some honest and thought-provoking conversations about parenting, family life, and the realities many parents face behind closed doors.
During the episode, we explored my journey from teacher and deputy head to coach and mum, and how those experiences shaped my approach to positive parenting. We talked about why parenting doesn’t have to feel as hard as it often does, where I begin when families feel overwhelmed, and how our own childhood experiences quietly influence the way we parent today.
The conversation also unpacked some of the biggest challenges parents raise with me, including boundaries, anxiety, sleep, homework, and supporting children through independence. We discussed what connection, curiosity, and communication really look like in practice, across different ages and stages, and why empathy and limits are not opposites.
We also touched on the growing importance of supporting parents within corporate wellbeing spaces and why workplaces have a role to play in family resilience.
If you’re curious about positive parenting, navigating family challenges, or want a more compassionate and realistic take on raising children, this conversation is a great place to start.
